All grape varieties have their own story and primitivo is no exception: from Gioia del Colle it travelled to Manduria and then to Guagnano. Each Primitivo has different characteristics: DieciAnni Primitivo is an elegant and opulent wine. It has a dense red colour with intense violet tints. Voluptuous and persistent on the nose with a penetrating and intriguing perfume of violet. Soft tannins enhance the hints of liquorice, black cherry and plum.
CUPONE SALICE SALENTINO NEGROAMARO RISERVA DOP 2019
Tradition and respect for the land can be found in this riserva wine. Cupone has a unique and austere character obtained by using grapes from old negroamaro bush-vines. A particularly bright and full-bodied red wine; hints of tobacco, nuts and Mediterranean herbs on the nose; soft tannins and balsamic hints on the palate.

AT THE WINERY
The grapes macerate for 2 weeks. The resulting wine is aged for 24 months, 12 of which in French oak barrels.
Only the best vintages are bottled. Not less than 10/15 years.

18°C – Lamb, potatoes and lampascioni (herbaceous plant from the bulb like an onion); grilled Guagnano fresh sausage; boar stew.
Salice Salentino Negroamaro Riserva is a DOC wine whose production is allowed in the provinces of Brindisi and Lecce. The Salice Salentino DOC denomination was established with a Ministerial Decree dated 8/4/1976 then modified in 1994. Grapes of other black grape varieties suitable for cultivation in Puglia for the homogeneous production area "Salento-Arco Ionico" registered in the National Register of vine varieties for wine grapes can also contribute to its production, alone or jointly. This was approved with D.M. 7 May 2004 and subsequent updates, reported in attachment 1 of this specification, in a business environment, to a maximum extent of 25% of the surface registered in the vineyard register. This wine is made exclusively from Negroamaro grapes (100%) and the name of the Cupone vineyard probably originates from the particularity of the soil rich in hollows, chasms and underground rivers. The first vintage of Cupone bottled was 2003.

This extraordinary wine remains engraved on the memory just like the “pietrefinite”, or boundary stones, which have remained for centuries where our ancestors placed them to mark the borders of their vineyards. This wine is produced with grapes from three vineyards located in an area named Camarda. We think of them as three old sisters (Le Camarde is the plural noun of Camarda) reliably giving us great wines every year. When young it is a dense ruby-red wine with a complex nose with hints of potpourri and dried flowers. Coffee and dark chocolate on the palate with a long finish supported by silky tannins.
“Salice Salentino Negroamaro” is one of the first denominations created in Puglia; it was, in fact, established in April 1974. The geographical area for the production of this important DOP comprises 7 towns in the north of the Salento region of which Guagnano is one. DieciAnni Salice Salentino Negroamaro has a dense colour with soft garnet-coloured shades. The nose is complex and suggestive of flavours ranging from the typical hint of tobacco to vanilla. On the palate are hints of bitter almond and powerful tannins.
This is a fascinating and rewarding Salento Negromaro, worth keeping in the cellar to drink a glass at just the right moment. Intense red wine with an explosion of carob and raisins on the nose; spicy hints of black pepper and tobacco in the mouth. The finish is long with firm structure.
Negroamaro is the most widely planted grape variety in Puglia. Both its origins and name are uncertain. The name may derive from the local dialect (niuru maru) or indeed from the combination of the Latin word niger and the Greek mavros, both indicating the typical black colour of the grapes. DieciAnni Negroamaro is a deep red colour wine with marked fragrances of plum and cherry on the nose. The palate is full bodied and well-balanced supported by elegant tannins.
In Salento, the celebration wine of choice is Malvasia Nera. DieciAnni Malvasia Nera is a single varietal wine vinified without any contact with oak in order to enhance the natural fragrance of the fruit. DieciAnni Malvasia Nera is an intense ruby-red colour wine; on the nose are hints of dewberry, blood orange and violet. The palate is fresh with hints of cherry and blueberry. The wine is mouth-filling with supple tannins.
